Our Story...

We feel so lucky to have found each other at such a young age and have always known that we were meant to be.  Our favorite song lyrics have always been "wouldn't it be nice if we were older, then we wouldn't have to wait so long..." it fits us and our relationship perfectly.

We first met in the Spring of 2003 at a BBYO event.  I had a crush on one of Alex’s best friends (Sean- in the wedding) and while Alex was acting as our match maker, we became close friends.  We hung out at every BBYO event, went on retreats to spend the weekends together, saw each other at Sunday school and talked on the phone almost every night for hours.   After a few short months of being best friends, we realized how much we liked each other.  This of course happened the day before I went off to Wisconsin for summer camp. He ended up writing me a letter almost every day.  A few nights after I got back, he asked me to be his girlfriend.  This was on July 20, 2003.



Before we knew it, it was Alex's senior prom and he was off to Austin for college.  It was hard being in separate cities, but the next year I joined him in Austin.  After Alex graduated in 2009, I had a year left.  In 2010, I joined him in Houston.  We started our careers while living at home with our parents, anxious to move forward together.



The night before Thanksgiving 2011, after just 8 short years of dating, Alex proposed to me and of course I said YES!!!  We are so thrilled to be moving forward in our relationship.  As we plan our wedding, we look forward to beginning the next chapter of our story, and can't wait to share it with those we care about.
